Tanker Vetting (including OCIMF’s SIRE 2.0) is a course that teaches ship personnel how to prepare for and pass tanker vetting inspections. It covers the basics of tanker vetting, the expectations and requirements of different vetting organizations, and the best practices to follow before, during and after an inspection. It also introduces the new SIRE 2.0 system, which is a major update to the existing SIRE system that aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of tanker vetting. By taking this course, ship personnel will gain the knowledge and skills to perform well in tanker vetting inspections, improve their reputation and employability in the tanker market, and enhance their safety and quality standards on board tankers.
