Ship Handling Simulator

Days of access: 92 Modules: 1

NavSimulator is a web-based ship handling simulator for maritime professionals and cadets to develop manoeuvring skills in a realistic, risk-free environment, using only a laptop and internet connection. The simulator models realistic ship behaviour, including propulsion and rudder response, wind, current, and restricted-water effects. Users train on different vessel types and manoeuvring scenarios, focusing on speed control, turning characteristics, stopping distances, and decision-making. NavSimulator supports self-paced, competency-based training with no fixed schedule or time limits. Exercises can be repeated as needed, helping users analyse actions and build confidence. The platform is suitable for refresher training, familiarisation, and preparation before onboard duties or full-mission simulator sessions. Training is available via browser or a downloadable Windows PC client, included with the product. No simulator centre attendance is required — training can be completed from home or any location.
