The Oil Record Book Part I course is designed to provide guidance on proper and consistent completion of the Oil Record Book Part I (Machinery Space Operations) for ships of 400 gross tons and above, other than oil tankers, and oil tankers of 150 gross tons and above, as required by MARPOL Annex I. The course covers the instructions and general requirements for making entries in the Oil Record Book Part I, the items that must be recorded, and the example entries for commonly used machinery space operations. The course also explains the consequences of non-compliance and how to avoid common errors and omissions.
